DVS Baseball Expands into Canada, The Yardhouse Announced as New Development Center

DVS Baseball is excited to announce the latest development center The Yardhouse, located in Kelowna, British Columbia. The Yardhouse marks the first international baseball facility that will implement DVS Baseball’s M.V.P. Program to its clients.

"Byron and I have known each other for almost twenty years, and when he pitched bringing DVS to Canada, we were thrilled. As I’ve spent time with the Yardhouse staff over the last several weeks, I’ve realized they share the same passion we do for helping our youth athletes build a strong foundation of skill development. We look forward to working with The Yardhouse and helping make pitchers better in Canada! ." says DVS Baseball Founder & President Justin Orenduff.

Development centers offer their clients the opportunity to receive a full biomechanical analysis of their pitching delivery, after which they will receive DVS Baseball's proprietary DVS Score. The DVS Score is a statistically proven and medically published scoring system that quantifies the injury risk that pitchers face based on their pitching delivery.

When the opportunity came up to get involved with the youth baseball community in the Okanagan, Justin was one of my first calls. Watching this program develop for almost the past decade I knew the DVS and MVP was exactly what was needed to elevate the baseball community here & develop better healthier youth baseball athletes. This program puts the athletes health first!
— Byron Wilson, Director of Operations

Once a client receives their mechanical analysis, Joel Lamont and Derek Renneberg, Yardhouse certified DVS Trainers will administer DVS Baseball's pitching development program -- the Mechanics for Velocity & Performance (M.V.P.) program. Hundreds of pitchers have used the M.V.P. Program to increase their DVS Scores, thus creating better sequencing that improves recovery, decreases injury risk, and improves performance.

DVS Baseball will track The Yardhouse pitchers through the DVS Bullpen. This all-encompassing software player development platform can be utilized by players, coaches, instructors, facility owners, and health care facilities.

DVS Baseball

DVS Baseball, which stands for Delivery Value System, was created in light of the current epidemic of throwing-related injuries in the game of baseball.  The surgery rate among pitchers has continued to rise over the past decade due to various culture-related factors, including an increased emphasis on throwing velocity, college scholarships, and year-round playing.  In an effort to find answers as to why some pitchers get hurt and others do not, we began a formal study that analyzed mechanical patterns from past and current MLB Pitchers. Our research, now published in Orthopedics Medical Journal, continues to evolve to help MLB Organizations understand a pitcher’s true value. Additionally, we implement the DVS Baseball pitching development program for pitchers to extend their longevity, decrease injury risk, and maximize performance in games. .
