DVS Baseball Opens Development Centers for Amateur Baseball
Madison Heights, MI. – As youth pitching injuries continue to be on the rise, DVS Baseball is committed to work with young pitchers to avoid this fate. DVS Baseball is creating regional-based development centers across the United States with organizations that have a passion for injury prevention and the development of baseball pitchers.
DVS Baseball development centers will be at Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine in Rochester and Minneapolis and DVS Baseball Madison Heights. They will serve as the foundation for future development centers in the upcoming years.
“Over the last several months we have collaborated with several organizations on how to integrate the DVS Development System into their business and work together to create awareness about pitching injuries and implement solutions to help their athletes decrease throwing injury risk, increase longevity, and become successful in-game situations. We couldn’t be more excited to begin to implement regional-based DVS Development Centers across the country”, Says Orenduff, Founder and President of DVS Baseball.
Development centers will offer their pitchers the opportunity to receive a full biomechanical analysis of their pitching delivery after which they will receive DVS Baseball’s proprietary DVS Score. The DVS Score is a statistically proven and medically published scoring system that quantifies the injury risk that a pitcher faces based on their pitching delivery.
Once a client has been scored, the development center, led by an approved DVS coach, will administer DVS Baseball’s pitching development program -- the Mechanics for Velocity & Performance (M.V.P.) program. Hundreds of pitchers have used the M.V.P. Program to increase their DVS Scores and create more efficient movements that improve recovery, decrease injury risk and improve performance.
The Development center’s pitchers will be tracked through the DVS Bullpen, an all-encompassing software player development platform that can be utilized by players, coaches, instructors, facility owners, and health care facilities.
